Easter Love in Action: CLP South-East Visits Father Monti Orphans

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14

On Saturday, the 16th of May, 2026, Come Let’s Pray Catholic Family Ministry, South-East (CLP South-East), embarked on a profound mission of mercy and companionship. Our destination was the Father Monti Home for Orphans and Needy Children, a sanctuary where we sought to extend the joy, light, and enduring hope of the Easter season to some of God’s most precious little ones.

True prayer is an action, and on this beautiful day, our faith blossomed into a tangible celebration of community and love.

A Day of Fellowship, Nourishment, and Prayer

The visit to Father Monti Home was a beautiful tapestry of spiritual renewal and practical support. The children and staff welcomed our team with open arms, setting the stage for an unforgettable encounter.

Our mission focused on two pillars of care:

  • Heartfelt Prayers and Fellowship: Beyond the structured service, our members spent quality time sitting with, listening to, and praying individually with the children. We spoke words of affirmation, hope, and strength over their lives, reminding them that they are cherished members of the greater family of God.

  • Sustaining Provisions: To support the daily running of the home, CLP South-East donated a rich bounty of essential food supplies. These provisions were carefully gathered to ensure the children’s nutritional needs are met, lifting a significant daily weight from the shoulders of the home’s dedicated caretakers.

Honoring the Vessels of Mercy

A successful outreach across regional lines requires immense coordination, sacrifice, and a shared vision of radical charity.

To Our Dedicated Regional Leadership: We extend our deepest appreciation to the leadership team of the South-East chapter who flawlessly orchestrated the logistics and spirit of this visit:

  • Sandrine Etoundi – Coordinator, CLP South-East.

  • Mrs. Caroline Egzibo Igboka – Assistant Coordinator. Thank you for your tireless dedication, your shepherd hearts, and for being the driving force that made this day a reality.

Our hearts overflow with profound gratitude for the Founder and Spiritual Director of Come Let’s Pray Catholic Family Ministry, Rev. Fr. Simon Onyekachi Madu, OSJ. Though miles apart, Father’s spiritual guidance, constant prayers, and visionary leadership continue to be the bedrock of everything we do. Thank you, Father, for your unwavering commitment to teaching us how to love without boundaries and for inspiring the South-East chapter to be the hands and feet of Christ to these precious children.

To Our Beloved Donors and Members: To every member of the CLP family and our beautiful network of donors—thank you. Your financial sacrifices and material donations were the answers to these children’s prayers. You did not just give food; you gave them a reason to smile and know they are loved.

A Legacy of Hope

As we departed Father Monti Home, we left behind full pantries, but we carried away hearts full of lessons taught to us by the resilience and joy of the children. CLP South-East remains steadfast in this divine assignment, knowing that every seed of love planted today will grow into a future of hope tomorrow.
