WHAT CATHOLICS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SUMMONING|BRINGING FAITH INTO ACTION

Have you ever asked yourself how witches, wizards, occultists, magicians, Satanists, etc project forces to inflict harm, conjure and cause things to happen using satanic or magical words or mantras, otherwise known as incantations? The whole process is nothing else but Summoning or to Summon- which in this sense means “to rouse oneself to exert power and order others or things to obey”.
Do you know effective prayer does this? If you are in doubt read slowly…
Mark 6:7-8 & 13
Jesus made a tour round the villages, teaching. Then he SUMMONED the Twelve and began to send them out in pairs giving them AUTHORITY over the unclean spirits. And he INSTRUCTED them to take nothing for the journey except a staff – no bread, no haversack, no coppers for their purses. They were to wear sandals but, he added, ‘Do not take a spare tunic.’…So they set off to PREACH repentance; and they CAST OUT many devils, and ANOINTED many sick people with oil and cured them.
POINTS FOR REFLECTION
1. Jesus did not just “call, or convoke” a gathering or meeting to assign works or duties, instead the Bible says, He SUMMONED his disciples! The word “summon” was used here.
2. Summoning involves, first “rousing one’s self”. The best way to interpret this spiritual phenomenon is “causing or inciting oneself to be angry in spirit”  with an INTENTION or CAUSE in mind, while using the appropriate Words of declaration for IMPARTATION. Is this too profound to understand? Now pay attention…
3. Jesus “roused himself” with an INTENTION, and that intention is to “pull down every stronghold against the gospel- the enemy of our salvation,” and He IMPARTED the power or authority to do this on his apostles. The Apostles themselves had their physical strengths, weaknesses and intentions, but the Words of IMPARTATION ordered these qualities to the ONE INTENTION OF JESUS and all was successful, and they recorded miracles and testimonies.
4. The difference between Satanic or Magical summons, and Prayer Summons lie on the INTENTION and the POWER by which it is done. The intention and power of the former is devious or dubious, and the power is from demons or elemental spirits; while that of the latter is purely good and from God.
TASK: In the book of the Prophet Daniel chapter Daniel 3:57-88, we see how Three young men in the heart of the fire and in the midst of their suffering, summoned all elements of creation, calling them by name, and commanding them to praise God who created them! I want you to rouse yourself now, and Summon that problem, that ugly situation or weakness in your life, calling it by its name, command it to depart from your life now.  Begin to summon good things to spring forth now, in your life and your family. It shall come to pass because God gives you that assurance when you summon things in his name, for as scripture says in the book of Judith 16, 14: nothing can resist the voice of God.
I Declare now: As you align your actions with the Word of God in Psalm 149: 6, that says, “Let the praise of God be on your lips, and a two-edged sword in your hand,” I pray that the Word of God you declare with your mouth, be a weapon in your hands, to overcome every strongholds, bondages, sickness and setbacks that come your way, in Jesus name. Amen.
