HOW TO PRAY AND EXPERIENCE BREAKTHROUGH

A powerful way to experience breakthroughs and receive answers to our prayers is by praying for others to receive the same blessings we seek. This concept is not only practical but also has biblical roots. Discovering this method of praying made me realise that certain troubles, certain delays or unanswered prayers we experience happen because we don’t pray this way! I want to experience a miracle and breakthrough hence I am sharing this with you, and I hope you will share with another person. Even if you’re not generous in physical matters don’t do so in spiritual matters: don’t be selfish with this information! Now, back to the subject matter: to know this sure way of praying to get quick answer and breakthrough continue reading slowly…

Cf. 1 Corinthians 9:16-19,22-23I do not boast of preaching the gospel, since it is a duty which has been laid on me; Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! … So though I am not a slave of any man I have made myself the slave of everyone so as to win as many as I could. For the weak I made myself weak: I made myself all things to all men in order to save some at any cost; and I still do this, for the sake of the gospel, to have a share in its blessings.

POINTS FOR REFLECTION

Child of God, to get quick answers to your prayers and experience breakthrough, pray that others receive the breakthrough you desire! Yes, you heard me well! Can we demonstrate this in scripture? Let’s look at it together.

1. From the life of Job

Praying that others receive the breakthrough you desire may sound weird but the Bible demonstrates its efficacy as a way of praying in the life of Job. Job was a man who suffered many troubles, way more than anyone ever will: He lost his wife, his children, his animals and his land; he had nothing left. And if that wasn’t bad enough, he had to deal with his friends who wrongly assumed that his suffering was caused by sin. But you know what Job did, even though his friends hurt him? He turned around and prayed for the three of them! And in Job 42:10, the bible says:

After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

Not only did the Lord restore what Job lost spiritually and materially, He blessed him with a double portion as well:

“The Lord restored what Job had lost” and “the LORD doubled all that had belonged to Job.”

And the subsequent verses continues to get better as verse 12 says:

“The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first.”

Here is something that may interest you: there are 42 chapters in the book of Job and 41 chapters are full of the trials and heartaches Job went through. But in a single chapter (chapter 42) God rewrote Job’s story in a way Job could ever have hoped or dreamed. Child of God, you may be going through phases of tribulations right now and it may seem unending! Don’t lose hope: in just a second God will transform your fortunes!

2. From the life of Apostle Paul

Praying that others receive the breakthrough you desire is further demonstrated as an efficacious way of prayer in the life of Apostle Paul. St Paul describes it when he says:

“I made myself all things to all men in order to save some of them at any cost! I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. – 1Cor 9:22-23.

As one conscious of the salvation of his own soul he sees his efforts in saving others through preaching the gospel as an opportunity for him to SHARE in the salvation offered by the gospel! And this is true, because when we prepare to preach to others, we first preach to ourselves! When we see others moved by our message we are encouraged and inspired to obey and follow what we teach!

TASK

So I ask you: what is it that you desire? Do you want a husband? Find those who are believing God for a husband and pray for them. Do you want to be debt-free? Find those who have the same desire and pray for them. Do you want a baby? Find those who want a baby and pray for them. And what about the person who has criticized you? Pray for them too! Release prayer over those you know who want the same thing that you do. And then, expect in faith and believe God will answer. And I pray God will answer you and you will Celebrate!
