“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” — Matthew 25:35
The joy of the Risen Christ was felt in a profound way this Easter season as Come Let’s Pray Catholic Family Ministry, Uganda (CLP UGANDA), embarked on a journey of compassion and solidarity. On the 12th of April, 2026, members of our ministry gathered to share the love of the Resurrection with our brothers and sisters at the Good Samaritan Sisters – Bakateyamba Home in Nalukolongo, Kampala.
A Mission of Presence and Prayer
The Bakateyamba Home has long been a sanctuary for the elderly, the disabled, and the most vulnerable in our society. Our mission was simple yet vital: to ensure that no one felt forgotten during this holy season.
The day began with a powerful session of prayer and spiritual fellowship. We sat with the residents, listening to their stories and lifting their intentions to the Lord. In the quiet moments of prayer, the walls of the home were filled with a sense of peace that only Christ can provide. Witnessing the smiles on the faces of the elderly as we prayed together was a vivid reminder that our ministry’s core—prayer—is a bridge that connects hearts across all ages.

Love in Action: Groceries and Essentials
Faith without works is dead, and this outreach was a testament to our commitment to practical charity. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, CLP UGANDA was able to provide:
-
Essential Groceries: Ensuring the residents have nutritious meals.
-
Toiletries and Sanitary Supplies: Providing for the daily comfort and dignity of the elderly and patients.
Seeing the gratitude of the Good Samaritan Sisters as they received these gifts reminded us all of the power of collective effort.
A Heartfelt Note of Appreciation
This successful outreach would not have been possible without the dedicated hands and hearts behind the scenes. A special thank you to our tireless coordinators who organized every detail of this visit with grace and precision:
-
Milliam Nabakooza – Coordinator, CLP UGANDA.
-
Viola Ninsiima – Assistant Coordinator,
-
Racheal Sabina – Assistant Coordinator. Your leadership continues to inspire us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our region.
To Our Visionary Founder: We extend our deepest gratitude to Rev. Fr. Simon Onyekachi Madu, OSJ, the Founder and Spiritual Director of Come Let’s Pray Catholic Family Ministry. Thank you, Father, for your spiritual guidance and for birthed a vision that encourages us to not only pray without ceasing but to love without limits.
To Our Donors and Members: To everyone who contributed a coin, a prayer, or a moment of their time—thank you. Your donations were the fuel for this mission. You didn’t just give items; you gave hope.

Moving Forward in Faith
As we reflect on this event, we are reminded that Easter is not just a day on the calendar, but a lifestyle of bringing “new life” to those in despair. CLP UGANDA remains committed to this path of prayer and charity.
May the blessings of the Risen Lord remain with the Good Samaritan Sisters and all the residents of Nalukolongo.
